The Honda Civic Hybrid adds to the already great mileage of the popular Civic line by incorporating an electric motor and regenerative battery system in addition to the 1.3 liter 4-cylinder base gas engine. The electric motor can't propel the Civic by itself, but it still manages to boost overall mileage under all circumstances. While not as frugal as the Toyota Prius, Honda still makes a great car and the Civic should please most fuel-economy minded shoppers.
